From his days grappling on the college wrestling mats at the University of Tennessee to serving his country in the Nuclear Defense Program at the Pentagon, Steve’s journey embodies the essence of resilience, innovation, and unwavering determination.
Following his service in the military, Steve found himself standing at a crossroads, uncertain of where life would lead him next. Yet, driven by his love for both technology and business, Steve pursued further education, earning his MBA.
Upon graduation, he joined his father’s company and became an Electrical Manufacture Rep for GH Redden and Associates. Steve gained invaluable insights into the complexities of the supply chain. It was a time of learning and growth, where humility paved the way for understanding the intricacies of the industry and the complexities of the supply chain ecosystem.
It was the dawn of the computer age in the 80’ that truly ignited his entrepreneurial spirit. Witnessing the transformative power of technology, Steve seized the opportunity to merge his expertise in computers, electrical cables, and business, creating HiTech Harness Assembly. What began as a venture crafting computer cables evolved into HiTech Data with an expanded offering into data communications, designing and installing personal computer networks, and business software.
2002, recognizing emerging market needs, HiTech Data spun off the SaAS component of the company and created Business Advantage. While designing a new website for the Marmon retail solution Group, Steve decided to incorporate order tracking in a single location for all 5 manufacturers. This idea was the catalyst for what is now Lumatrak.
Grounded by the timeless wisdom imparted by his father:
“Success is driven by hard work and humility, with an eye toward always doing your best. Innovation is driven by blending new ideas with the lessons learned from the past.”
These words continue to resonate with Steve, guiding his approach to life, and business and serving as the guiding principle for Lumatrak
